Located 15 minutes’ drive to the west of Sutton Coldfield, and also 15 minutes to the north of Birmingham City Centre with the wonderful Bullring shopping and leisure facilities, the NIA and the ICC, are our other two lovely properties available for self-catering in Walsall. Famous for its leather industry, Walsall House Share Bedroom Walsall again has great transport links being less than ten minutes’ drive from the M6 J7/9/10 and the start of the M5 and M54, and is again under 30 minutes away from the NEC and Birmingham International Airport. Walsall train station is a 5-minute taxi journey away, taking around 20 minutes to reach Birmingham New Street station, and we are always happy to arrange for a local taxi company to collect you, as we have very good contacts with our local firms.

Our two self catering houses are both close to Walsall town centre, with an assortment of shops, bars and restaurants (if you stay with us make sure you visit TGI Fridays, our favourite restaurant!). There are also two or three nice pubs which serve a selection of reasonably-priced food within a ten-minute walk, and several supermarkets if you feel like cooking up a storm in your home-from-home kitchen. The picturesque Walsall Arboretum is also very nearby, with over 200 species of tree set in more than 80 acres, with cafes, lakes and a well-equipped and safe children’s play area – perfect for a lovely peaceful walk on a beautiful day.

Our two Walsall self-catering houses are:

Self Catering in Walsall Kitchen- Victoria Dwellings, our cosy Victorian house (postcode WS1), has 2 double bedrooms plus a further ground floor room which doubles as dining room and single bedroom, so sleeps up to 5 in comfort. When three bedrooms are needed, Victoria Dwellings is the best option, also having two separate bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. Why would anyone go into a cheap B&B in Birmingham when they could have a whole house to themselves, and here there is free parking outside the door too!

- Persehouse is our largest property having 5 bedrooms and sleeps up to 10 (postcode WS1), currently with one family bathroom, one ground floor ensuite bedroom and a separate cloakroom, and we plan to add a further ensuite in the coming months. Less than a mile from Victoria Dwellings, Persehouse provides a great location for larger gatherings and hen parties (for which we can arrange everything on your behalf), and even has its own piano!

As well as Birmingham, Walsall is also perfectly situated for Aldridge and Great Barr, or even West Bromwich, Wolverhampton and Cannock, a little further afield. There is little nice serviced accommodation in Walsall (that we know of!), so Cavershamplace gives you a choice of two houses, in an area which is not well-known as a holiday destination. We have found that the many people who come to work in the area really appreciate having the facilities of self-catering, and we are able to give excellent discounts for these typically longer-term bookings.
